Privacy policy

• Your social account (TikTok, YouTube or Instagram): handle, the platform's account ID, and the one-time code you put in your bio. Used to prove the account is yours and to sign you in. Basis: contract.
• Your clips: the post link, title, thumbnail, caption credit, posting date and public view counts over time. Used to rank clips and calculate payouts, and shown publicly on the leaderboard. Basis: contract.
• Your payout wallet address, to pay you. Payments on Solana are public by design: anyone can see a wallet's transactions. Basis: contract.
• A one-way hash of your IP address, stored when you link a wallet or send an application, to enforce one wallet per connection and stop spam. We don't store your raw IP address. Basis: legitimate interests (preventing fraud).
• Creator applications: your name, socials, budget, the clips you want, and optional contact details. Contact details are stored encrypted. Used to review your application and reply. Basis: steps before a contract, at your request.
• Creator campaigns: if your creator application is accepted, your name, the handles on your campaign, your payout rate, your campaign wallet address and its balance, and what it has paid out. The name, handles (with their public follower counts), rate, balance and the clip brief from your application are shown publicly on the creator program page so CLIPRs can clip you. Basis: contract.
• Fraud and security records: an audit log of sign-ins, submissions, admin decisions and payouts, and fraud flags on clips. Basis: legitimate interests (security, keeping the programme fair) and legal obligations.
• Sanctions screening: every payout wallet is checked against public sanctions lists (OFAC). Basis: legal obligation.
• Anonymous usage statistics, only if you allow them: which pages are viewed, the referring website and whether you're on a phone or computer, counted per day. No cookies, no IP address, and nothing that identifies you. Basis: consent.

We only use cookies needed for the site to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

• clipr_session: keeps you signed in (30 days).
• clipr_verify: links a bio-code check to your browser while you verify (1 hour).
• clipr_consent: remembers your cookie and statistics choice (1 year).
• Admin cookies (clipr_admin, clipr_wa, clipr_admin_gate): used only by Clipr staff to sign in securely.
• If our human check (Cloudflare Turnstile) is shown on a form, Cloudflare may process technical data to tell people and bots apart. It doesn't use advertising cookies.

You can change your statistics choice at any time: cookie settings.

• Our hosting and database providers, who store data for us under contract.
• Apify, which reads public profile and post data (bios, view counts) from the social platforms on our behalf.
• The Solana network: payouts are public blockchain transactions.
• Cloudflare, if the human check is switched on.

The leaderboard, clip pages and daily payout records are public: they show your social handle, your clips, their views, what they earned, and the wallet paid. For creators, the creator program page shows your name, campaign handles and their follower counts, rate, balance and clip brief, and your campaign wallet's transactions are public on Solana. This is what makes every payout checkable. Please don't take part if you don't want this to be public.

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Sensitive data such as social login tokens and applicants' contact details is encrypted in our database, and sign-in sessions are stored only as one-way hashes. We work hard to keep your data safe and will tell you and the ICO about a serious breach where the law requires it.
